About Me

Hi, I'm Marsha. Welcome to my blog! I chose the name based on one of my favorite Bible verses, Psalm 34:8, "O taste and see that the Lord is good..."

I'm a stay-at-home mom who loves to cook. I experiment with recipes often and my beloved family dutifully (though not always cheerfully!) serve as my taste testers! I rarely follow a recipe exactly and often don't measure ingredients. I usually "eyeball" how much of this and that, though I'm trying to do better since I'm posting recipes for others to use. I tweak, tweak, tweak all the time. It's just the way I cook. I'm told I'm like my grandma (my dad's mother) in that regard. She was an excellent cook and I don't ever remember her using a recipe card. I'm sure she did sometimes, but it always seemed to me that she simply worked magic in the kitchen. I can only hope to be a little like her.

I'm married to Charles and we have two children, Mr. Lego and the Princess. They are 9 and 8, respectively. I homeschool them both using a variety of methods. Eclectic, I guess you'd call us. We love the flexibility and fun homeschooling offers us and plan to continue through high school.

Like most bloggers, I love comments, so feel free to jump in and post a comment when the mood strikes. I'll happily answer any questions about my posts, but please know that I'm not interested in arguing or defending my opinions or positions. I know that not everyone will agree with everything I have to say, but anything more than polite disagreement will be deleted. Hope you understand!

Thanks for visiting and do stop by again soon!

  4. Taste and See is also one of my favorite Psalms. I was on MPM and the name of your blog caught my eye. Your menu looks lovely and I'm sure I will be stopping by again.
